  20. Back inside. I see one of the previous three sitting alone. I go up to her…

  22. Me: “You have pretty closed body language. Why do you look so uptight?”

  24. And we chat without interference. We talk about her ex-husband and whatnot…

  26. Me: “You can’t spend your entire life being upset over something that you have no control over. Regardless of if you’re bitter or not, time is going to keep ticking, and with each day you spend being bitter, that’s one less day that you’ll have to be happy.”

  28. She grabs my right hand and holds it in-between the two of hers, rubbing it…

  30. Her: “You’re a really sweet guy. You know that?”

  32. Me: “Trust me. I’m a bad guy.”

  34. Or maybe I’m not as bad as I perceive myself to be? Am I changing? Whatever the case. She has a smile on her face now. Mission accomplished.

  36. The curly haired brunette sees the two of us and comes over. And she starts talking to me again. A compliment here, a compliment there. Wisely interwoven into my conversation…

  38. Curly: “You’re so nice and sweet.”

  40. I smile and turn my head. And just then, she grabs me by my jacket. Pulls me in closer, and kisses me. On my way out, another blonde looks up at me from the bar. Smiles and winks her eye. Not a bad night for only having spent forty five minutes in this place.

  42. All of this time that I’ve been spending talking to countless women at work is having a profound effect on my personality as a whole. When you have the time to sit down and talk to hundreds of women, and you can’t say anything mean or make any sexual advances, something happens.
